Peachtree City, Georgia, January 7, 2016 -- 2015 proved to be another banner year for Rinnai America Corporation. As the number-one selling brand of tankless water heaters in the U.S. and Canada closed out the year, it enjoyed both record unit sales and revenue - marking the second consecutive record-breaking year for the company.

“As we continue to aggressively roll-out new products and innovations, our dealers, installers and consumers have reacted positively and continue to choose Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters and Heating Products for their homes and businesses,” said Takashi Sonoda, President at Rinnai America Corporation.

In terms of product development this year, Rinnai America Corporation expanded its Ultra Series condensing line with mid- and lower-range maximum BTU units. Shortly after, the company introduced the C199 commercial model, a condensing tankless water heater with a heat exchanger designed specifically for the demands of business, and later introduced its Demand Duo™, a commercial hybrid water heating system that combines Rinnai’s 199-BTU, Energy Star-certified C199 condensing commercial tankless water heaters with a durable 119-gallon tank.

Additionally, the company began selling Rinnai branded tankless water heaters at Lowe’s stores nationwide, making it the only gas tankless water heater brand sold and installed through the FORTUNE® 50 home improvement company in the U.S.

As part of the company’s high-profile marketing initiatives, it launched a national television advertising campaign that highlights the benefits of tankless water heaters. The campaign represents the only television advertising efforts for any tankless water heater brand. The campaign humorously highlighted the challenges families and homeowners face with tank water heaters while presenting Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters as the solution, including an endless supply of hot water and energy savings.

The company also ramped up its product placement activities in which its tankless water heaters are used on well-known national home improvement television shows, including FYI Network’s “Tiny House Nation” and “Tiny House Mansions,” and in high-profile showhouses produced by This Old House and Sunset Green Home magazines.

In 2015, Rinnai products were recognized by the press and industry groups as “tops” in the industry, including ranking among Professional Builder magazine’s “Top 100 Best New Products” of 2015. Also, Rinnai was again honored for the 4th consecutive year by David Weekley Homes with the builder’s nationally acclaimed “Partners of Choice” Award.
