(PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – April 4, 2011) - Rinnai Corporation, manufacturer of the No.1 selling brand of tankless water heaters in North America, announced today that it has taken steps to enhance the tankless water heater purchasing experience for homeowners through an extension of its labor warranty for qualifying tankless unit installations and the launch of the Rinnai® Signature Financing Program. The company’s introduction of its new labor warranty is designed to underscore Rinnai’s assurance that its tankless units will perform as promised, while the new financing options will help make Rinnai’s home and water heating technologies available to a wider range of consumers.

“Rinnai has achieved its position as the industry leader in tankless water heating by constantly striving to improve upon the products and services we offer,” said Rinnai’s Vice President of Marketing Brad Sweet. “Warranty and cost are two factors that significantly impact a consumer’s decision to buy a tankless unit, and we recognized there were opportunities for Rinnai to enrich our offerings in both of these areas. Our new labor warranty and new financing program provide consumers with greater incentives for choosing a Rinnai tankless unit, and we’re thrilled to be able to make these options available to our customers.”

LABOR WARRANTY EXTENSION

While all Rinnai tankless units come with a standard 1-year labor warranty, which covers reasonable labor charges associated with the repair or replacement of any defective Rinnai part or component, customers now have the opportunity to extend the labor warranty of a Rinnai tankless water heater to 5 years by registering their tankless unit on the Rinnai website (www.rinnai.us) or by calling Rinnai at 1-800-621-9419 within 30 days of installation. To qualify for the extended warranty, the unit must be from Rinnai’s Ultra series or Luxury series, must be installed after April 1, 2011 and must be used only for hot water heating, not structural heating. Rinnai’s standard 1-year labor warranty will continue to apply to all non-registered or non-qualifying tankless products.

“We’re proud to be the only major North American tankless provider to offer customers an extended labor warranty,” said Rinnai’s Sr. Director of Product Services and Support David Harrington. “Rinnai stands behind its products, and those who purchase a Rinnai tankless water heater should feel confident they’re getting a high quality unit that will last. Our warranty extension, in combination with our superior product development and performance, will go a long way in providing peace of mind to our customers.”

RINNAI SIGNATURE FINANCING

In addition to the new labor warranty, Rinnai has announced that it is partnering with FMSI Consumer Credit Corp. (CCC) to introduce the Rinnai Signature Financing Program, which will enable consumers to finance the purchase and installation of Rinnai products in the U.S. The financing option will apply to Rinnai’s tankless water heating products, ENERGYSAVER® direct vent furnace models, hydronic furnaces and condensing wall-mounted boiler units, increasing the affordability of these products for many households. Homeowners who participate in the financing program will be able to enjoy the benefits of owning a Rinnai unit while making smaller monthly payments in lieu of one upfront cost. While Rinnai installers will help facilitate the credit application process for interested customers, CCC will determine the amount of financing available, taking into account the consumer’s credit score as well as the total cost of the project.

“We understand that some consumers who are interested in Rinnai heating technologies may be wary of the upfront cost associated with the unit’s purchase and installation. However, we don’t want cost to deter them from experiencing the comfort and savings that Rinnai brings to a home,” said Rinnai Marketing Services Manager Nina Knight. “This financing program makes it easier for consumers with a broad range of household incomes to introduce the home heating and water heating benefits of Rinnai products into their households.”
