Rinnai Receives “A,A” Rating from David Weekley Homes’ Prestigious Supplier Evaluation System
Miller Brooks, Inc.
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (July 30, 2012) - Rinnai America Corporation was honored today with the coveted “Partners of Choice” Award from David Weekley Homes. Rinnai received an “A,A" ranking, the homebuilder's top designation for both Quality and Service. Rankings consider the performance of providing goods and services through the entire supply chain over the past 12 months.
In 2004, David Weekley Homes, the nation’s third largest for-profit, privately-held homebuilder, implemented its comprehensive supplier evaluation system. This unique platform was put in place to reduce channel costs, improve service and provide the highest degree of homeowner satisfaction. It allows David Weekley Homes to analyze supplier performance in diverse industries, provide feedback, and recognize truly outstanding achievers. Under this process Team Members are initally asked to rate each supplier’s performance on Quality and Service. Then through a series of discussions, meetings, and coaching calls, David Weekley Homes and its suppliers search for the best way to achieve excellence together. Through this process, David Weekley Homes takes “partnering with its suppliers” to a world-class level.
“Due to the length and breadth of our evaluation system, there are no shortcuts to success,” said Bill Justus, vice president of supply chain services and the major architect behind David Weekley Homes’ revolutionary supplier evaluation system. “We provide all the necessary tools and services to our providers which enable them to deliver the highest levels of quality and service to our company. Our friends at Rinnai have demonstrated through their actions that they understand the process, and deliver on the promise as confirmed by the ratings of approximately 600 David Weekley Homes’ team members.”
“David Weekley Homes understands the value of its committed partners and the vital role they play for a homebuilder,” said Aaron Baugh, residential business development manager at Rinnai. “When a builder of this stature awards Rinnai for both Quality and Service, we consider it a great honor.”
