PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (Aug. 4, 2014) – Rinnai America Corporation was honored with the coveted “Partners of Choice” Award from David Weekley Homes. For a third consecutive year, Rinnai received an “A,A" ranking, the homebuilder's most prestigious designation for both Quality and Service. Rankings consider the performance of providing goods and services through the entire supply chain over the past 12 months.

“Our evaluation platform challenges our partners to practice a concept we call Channel Alignment,” said Bill Justus, vice president of supply chain services for David Weekley Homes. “This occurs when all parties in the channel work together in support of the customer, the builder. Rinnai through their actions have proven to be truly world-class in delivering against this concept.”

In 2004, David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest, privately held homebuilder, implemented its comprehensive supplier evaluation system. This unique platform challenges its national trading partners to provide the optimum combination of price, service and quality to the homebuilder.

“Rinnai invests in the relationship, remains cost competitive, demonstrates growth, listens to its customer, the builder, and provides a timely resolution if an issue occurs,” Justus said.

“The reliability and performance of Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters is unmatched. Rinnai is proud to be the only tankless water manufacturer to be recognized with the presitigious “Partners of Choice Award,” by David Weekley Homes, a well respected and prestigious builder,” said Aaron Baugh, national residential business development manager at Rinnai. “Earning one of 13 “A,A” awards ranks us in the top performers of David Weekley Homes suppliers.”

The comprehensive supplier evaluation system allows David Weekley Homes to analyze supplier performance in diverse industries, provide feedback, and recognize outstanding achievers. Under this process Team Members are initially asked to rate each supplier’s performance on Quality and Service. Then through a series of discussions, meetings, and coaching calls, David Weekley Homes and its suppliers search for the best way to achieve excellence together. Through this process, David Weekley Homes takes “partnering with its suppliers” to a world-class level.
