Peachtree City, Georgia, January 6, 2015 -- 2014 proved to be a banner year for Rinnai America. As the number-one selling brand of tankless water heaters in the US and Canada closed out its 40th anniversary year here, it enjoyed both record unit sales and revenue, even surpassing pre-recession performance.

“In addition to breaking all-time company records in North America, we celebrated a number of other milestones in industry-leading product development and company exposure,” said Frank Windsor, Rinnai America’s General Manager.

On the product development front, Rinnai introduced the Ultra Series RUC models, the first tankless water heater in the industry that allows for both concentric or twin-pipe PVC venting on the same unit. Shortly after, Rinnai launched the Ultra Series RUR models, a line of condensing tankless water heaters for recirculation with or without a dedicated return line that incorporate integrated bypass technology to help users save time, money and natural resources by providing an endless supply of hot water faster.

Additionally, Rinnai began assembly of its Commercial Tankless Rack Systems at its headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia.

As part of the company’s high-profile marketing initiatives, Rinnai signed an exclusive sponsorship with popular NASCAR driver Cole Whitt in which its logo appeared prominently on the hood and driver’s side of the No. 26 Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters Toyota Camry team car in multiple nationally-televised races. The company also ramped up its product placement activities in which its tankless water heaters are used on well-known national home improvement television shows.

In 2014, Rinnai and many of its products were recognized by the press and industry groups as “tops” in the industry, including “best new products” recognitions by both Professional Builder and Professional Remodeler magazines. The company was also named “Partners of Choice” by David Weekly Homes; its tankless water heaters were called “Product of the Year” by Ryland Homes; and CBUSA, the nation’s most progressive purchasing organization for custom and independent builders, selected Rinnai as its national contract partner for tankless water heaters.

“Being regarded as an innovator and business partner to our customers is the key to growing our business, while also growing theirs,” said Kirk Morrow, Rinnai America’s Sales Director.

“Our company’s successes in 2014 and continued market share dominance in North America demonstrate our industry leadership and dedication to developing the highest-quality, energy-efficient products. I would like to personally thank our valued customers and team members for making this banner year possible,” said Takashi Sonoda, President of Rinnai America.
