Is a low-loss header required for every application?
No, a low-loss header isn’t always required, but it is recommended for most applications with multiple zones. A low-loss header—also referred to as a hydraulic separator —is included with every Rinnai boiler. The low-loss header isolates the boiler from the rest of the system to protect the boiler’s components (heat exchanger, pump, etc.). It’s also designed to optimize overall performance, efficiency and longevity of the Rinnai boiler.
